Young Business person of the year
On Friday, November 15, Eliette and I had the pleasure of attending the Business North Harbour Awards, an event that celebrates the hard work and success of local businesses in our North Shore community. It's always inspiring to see so many incredible businesses recognized for their contribution to the area.
Over the years, we’ve been fortunate to be nominated in a number of categories, but this year was extra special. Eliette was nominated for Young Business Person of the Year—a category that, as I’m now officially “too old” for (yes, I’m owning it), I can no longer enter. For Eliette, this was her final opportunity to claim the title... sorry, mate, looks like you're getting older too!
After enjoying some delicious snacks and drinks, we didn’t have to wait long before Eliette’s category was called—and she won! It was an exciting and proud moment for both of us.
This award is a huge testament to the incredible journey Eliette has had with EMA over the past 8 years. What started as her being the solo teacher has now grown into two academies, multiple off-site locations, and a team of over 30 staff. Along the way, she has worked tirelessly to make a positive impact in the community, bringing people together through music.
I couldn’t be prouder of her achievements, and I’m excited to continue this incredible journey together as we look ahead to 2025 and beyond. Here’s to many more years of growth, music, and success!
